Fondant Vegetable Crates With Vegetable Topped Cupcakes
My take on a fondant vegetable crate. The brides mom liked the look of my bushel of crabs cake and told me to "do whatever I had to do" to make the vegetable crates look like that. Luckily they weren't planning on eating them. Dried fondant slats woodgrained and "painted" with cocoa. Cupcakes had butter cookie carrots (groom) and peas (bride). This was for a party at a local winery after the religious ceremony at their house. I also made personalized crate labels for them.

Thanks! I used 4 - 10lb boxes of the Wilton on this. I was told that it was more for show and that no one would eat it. Some of them ended up eating one of them!

those crates are so unbelievably real looking! you must of put in alot of effort.
It took an unbelievable amount of time to make the crates! I tried to get them to use the real thing but this is what they wanted!
