This cake was based on a cake in Better Homes and Garden's wedding issue. The brides color, Claret was incorporated in the flowers and in the lettering. Real flowers and candles accent this tower of confection.

Pinky - no, but I designed it and my hsband made it! ntertayneme - royal icing - also, it's hard to see, but there are scrolls on the bottom tier made out of royal too.

This is a beautiful cake. I have seen a few cakes lately with the lovely lettering on the side. How do you get it on? Do you follow a pattern covered with wax paper, let it dry, then put them on or how is it done?
