Madhatter Ballerina For Bat Mitzvah
This cake was cursed from the moment I took the order last year at 50% off the price I would usually charge. The customer was practically in tears begging for it to fit into her "budget", then I found out her venue was one of the most expensive hotels in the city! More fool me. I've said it before and I'll say it again...don't lower your prices. A server at the hotel ripped off one side of my fondant board after I asked him to please not attempt to move the cake. Grrr!!!! Glad this one is done.
thanks everyone! Just got an apology letter email from the venue too for the server issue. Good day.
My rant took up the description above! Anyway, cake is iced in buttercream with fondant details, top tier is styrofoam iced in fondant, tiers are 6", 9", 12" each 7" tall (5 layers), ballerina/banner/hearts on wires in gumpaste
Sorry you had such trouble but the cake is Gorgeous!!!! I have to do one of these soon I hope mine looks half as good as yours!!!!! BEAUTIFUL! ;-D
wow,,,absolutely perfect. Sorry about the problems you occurred. Nice looking cake though
great advice on not lowering prices! Beautiful cake- love the whimsical look!
another sensational cake.
You always do such beautiful work..
sorry to hear about the wrinkles :( i think that's really rotten you got ripped off like that because that is a gorgeous cake!!!
Very cool...job well done..too bad things went as they did! But at least you did amazing work as always!
very nice. im curious, how do you cut something like that. do you have to take the tiers apart?
I'm not sure how they cut them. I'm in bed by then!
LOVE IT!!!
this cake is amazing!!! the colors, the shape, the details!!! how do you transport a cake like this?
this is a fabulous cake! hopefully they will order again and you can start to make up the price loss on the future cakes!
I only transport my cakes in separate tiers, never assembled. I spend up to an hour at the venues putting them together. Not worth the risk of transporting whole, in my opinion.
this cake is really cute i love it!!
This is great. I love the little ballerina on top also.
