death by chocolate

This is a cake that I made for a coworker's anniversary. He wanted a cake to celebrate the anniversary of their first date. His wife wanted a wedding cake. This is what we came up with. It is chocolate with cherry filling, frosted with chocolate bc. The hearts are made from dark cocoa candies that I melted and shaped with a cookie cutter. The stripes on the sides are also dark chocolate.
