thanks you all :) for the bow, i took the 3 different colors and rolled them out seperately. then, i cut them into even strips and laid them next to each other, then just used my rolling pin to gently "blend" them, very simple actually! yes, i used the 2 halves of the wilton egg pan, just make sure the cake is dense or it will not hold up. iced it in buttercream and refriderate it overnight, next day placed the "egg" on the cake board, which had a wooden dowell glued in the center to keep the cak...
