Bridal Shower Cake
The flowers on top are a bouquet that I made and the bride can take home with her. Bottom layer - Choc cake w/ raspberry filling and the top layer is white cake w/ lemon curd filling. Not my best work. I was a little upset with the outcome, not how I visioned it! It was for a coworker of my mother's and my mother loved it - so I guess that's what matters the most!
Very understated design - but incredibly beautiful!!!! The bride must have been thrilled with the bouquet. Great job!!!
Thanks for the smoothing tip! Can't wait to try it.
very pretty, you should be very proud of this cake...Great Job!
Thanks for the nice comment- I am my own worst critic and I focus on all the flaws- need to learn to get over that!!! But thank you - The more I look at it the more it's growing on me! LOL
I think it looks beautiful. What is your trick to getting the icing so smooth?
WOW! What a pretty cake. I bet it was also very good. Raspberry and chocolate, yum!!
my smoothing secrets came from here! I use the Viva paper towel with my fondant smoother then let it set for a minute or two then go over it the same way with copy paper - I believe it was sugarshack on here that gave that tip!!!
