Blue Vines

Blue Vines on Cake Central

So, the vines aren't blue, but the name sounded right to me! This cake was so much fun, because the Bride & Groom only specified "vines with blue & white flowers", and then allowed me to do whatever I wanted with it! So, it was a lot of fun! Check out some of my other work at www.OCakes.com, thanks for looking! =)

Thank you everyone! =) To answer a few of the questions - the corners are perfected (or get close anyway), by setting the cake in the fridge to firm-up, then adding more & carefully shaping with spatula's. Very time consuming! Same idea with smoothing the buttercream, use a hot spatula, usually dipped in boiling water, it took some time to get that technique down, but it works fairly well! The ribbon was real, and yes, I LOVED having that "free will" to decorate the cake! Thanks again everyone!

Don't you love it when you're given free will with a cake!! This turned out great! How do you get such squared off sides?!!!
