Stucco Mini-Wedding Cake
This cake was made for a couple's first anniversary. It is made using double layers of the Wilton mini-tier set, in a stacked construction, the icing is finished with a stucco effect. It is a mini version of their wedding cake, as replicated from pictures of that cake. Let me just say...if I never do another cake like this it will be too soon. I was horrified in taking it to the lady, I thought it was the ugliest thing I had ever seen! But, to my relief, she said it was just beautiful, "perfect".
Icing looks like textured ceiling paint to me - a different look for sure. However, you did capture the look of the wedding cake if the customer said it was "perfect". You did good!!!
She may have liked it...but I still think it's very unattractive, I definitely hope this is NOT a trend that catches on, I won't be doing another one!
