I can't believe this is your 1st cake after course 1 - it's excellent! How did you make the lid?
The lid is made chocolate candy melt discs piped onto parchment paper with the pattern traced on it. When dry, piped on royal icing basket weave in the same color as buttercream basket weave on cake base.
