Thanks for the replies. I didn't mean to mislead anyone but the roses are silk..if only I could make them that nice. I definitly see where a border would give it a more finished look. I will for sure use one in the final cake!

This was made in all bc frosting using viva method. I still need to work on my scroll work, but this was the first cake that I was proud of. I did this before taking any classes.

I love love love your flowers! This is a beautiful cake and I bet you will make your brother's and SIL's wedding a really special day. Not only do they get a beautiful cake, it was made by someone they love! Great job!

very nice looking cake. I think if you practice your scrolls to get them smooth it will be a great cake. Maybe a border along the bottom edges to finish it out. Good luck when you do the actual one and post it when you are finshed!
