I love this cake so much! It is so perfect and neatly done. This might be a dumb question, but after you traced the card with tracing paper, how do you get the image on the cake? Is the image itself icing? I would love to know how to do this because it's unbelievably perfect!
When I have traced over both sides on paper then I trace back onto the hardened card/ time consuming but well worth it. I use a blue colouring pencil. It is a bit trail and error. But then one can pipe over everything and the blue pencil lines never seem to show up/ as opposed to lead. Good luckYes the image is all icing. All edible. Not that I would eat it.

WOW, is the only thing I can say. You did a great job. How did you do the card?
I blew it up on the photocopier and traced over it on both sides of the tracing paper, the card is 50/50 fondant and gumpaste
WOW! double WOW! Yes- did you free hand the design?
Well tracing it from tracing paper is not really free hand. I wish
