Party Dress Cake
This a cake I made to welcome everyone to my new cake page. It is inspired by the wonderful art of Kara’s Couture Cakes, specifically her Black Tie Affair cake. I used the fabulous wafer paper ruffle tutorial by McGreevy Cakes. The wafer paper flower is made using a combination of steam and piping gel to attach the petals to a center bud. Hope you like it.
Hi! Your cakes are amazing! I have a question about this one if you don't mind.I just watched the McGreevy Cakes ruffle tutorial again and she said her strips were 2 inches wide. Are yours that wide? They look a little more compact and I really like the effect!
