The request was for a birch bark wedding cake. the bride's theme included birds and burlap. So in keeping with the theme, I made a real burlap and roses wreath as the foundation. The wreath at the top is a gumpaste burlap and rose nest on which the ceramic bird couple figurine sits. Lots of roses, butterflies, and roses were used to complete the look.
