Still Practicing

Just another practice cake. Everything is buttercream. I don't know why the rose buds came out darker in the picture. All the flowers are the same color of yellow. I wanted to try my hand at the Cornelli lace. I learned that the icing needs to be a lot thinner than what it was. Wow, my wrist and hand was sore for days :o)

It's SOOO pretty!!! And it looks fine with the rosebuds looking just a little darker! It's beautiful!

Lovely cake. Your borders are beautiful as are your roses. Love the scalloped design with the cornelli lace. I love doing cornelli lace, but have to be really careful too with icing consistancy, been there with the sore wrist and hand...ouch!!
