Ballet

Ballet on Cake Central

Two layer white cake with vanilla bc frosting and vanilla fondant. All decorations are either fondant or 50/50 fondant gumpaste. I got the ballet slipper template from this site. Thanks so much CakeBaker!

The ballet slipper looks realistic. Great job! Did you use a mold for the pearls or rolled them one by one?

Thanks everyone. didi5, I hand rolled all the pearls (both large and small). I made way too many of each but wanted to be sure to have enough. Now I have enough for another cake! I have a bead mold but had a hard time getting the fondant out of it so I need to play with it a bit more before I can use it.

I keep trying to add the link to the template but it's not placing it on here. So, just go to the forum and do a search under "ballet slippers", then scroll down a bit until you see that topic. Then within that post is a reply with four links, the first one includes the template it is by CakeBaker. You could possibly also search under her username.
