Very simple cake but I love it! For the flag, I used gum paste and stuck it on a cake pops stick using gum glue. For the effect on the letters, I used a toothpick. To make the little hills on the board, I put a ball of fondant and then covered the board. The "sand" is made out of brown sugar. I also used the veining tool to have a "wood" effect on the cake and used to brown color dust.
