This 3-day cake was made for a customer who's daughter was turning 16. I made a template and carved the cake. It is covered with buttercream and gumpaste embellishments. I would have preferred an all fondant cake (as it would have looked a lot nicer), but the customer insisted on buttercream. The neck of the guitar was gumpaste and the "strings" were painted floral wire. It was fun to make! Hubby made the board and supports for the guitar neck. TFL
