the head was sculpted with a small spatula, piped eyes and scales around eyes. it was airbrushed over netting and a dab of piping gel to gloss the eyes, glad you like it. Believe it or not I really hate snakes!

I forgot to mention, to get the perfectly smooth and sculpted rounded sides use a damp paper towel with no pattern (smooth like viva) to smooth it out and help shape. the damp towel will not stick to the shortening based buttercream, oil and water...
Did you just paint directly onto the buttercream? How did you shape the head? This looks awesome :D
