Cuda Birthday Cake
This is for a man who races a Cuda. It was the first time I almost got sick to my stomach with worry trying to make a cake. It was such a challenge for me. Didn't turn out much the way I planned but they loved it and thought it was great. I guess that is what matters. Then after all the stressing out my two yr old took The model I was copying and drove it across the base cake. God, I really thought I would cry then. But its done now and delivered. Thank goodness. ;-)
Well it looks good to me! I can't seem to get down the carved cakes so I am totally impressed!!
Thanks. I am still in need of lots of practice. It is pretty hard I think. It all works great in my brain. Just have to learn to the execution. ;-)
Way Cool! You did a great job!!
Thanks!!
I think it looks cool too!!! K'ly
Good JoB!
I totally understand the stressing out part!! Don't worry, your cake is totally AWESOME!
Thanks all. I think I need a margarita now. ;-) I think all that stress earns it, no?!?
Wow, Good job, I've done 2 cars so far and I understand the stress and all, my saving grace was that the cakes were for us so a bit easier. It will be easier the next time you do one too. Your details was great, I wish I have the patience to work with fondant.
Thanks. Yeah, I learned ALOT here. I just dont' want another to come up too soon I am still recovering here. ;-)
I feel your pain, when my dd was 2 she at the legs off one of my carousel horses the morning of the shower! i had a breakdown and my cousin came and rescued the kids so i could make another one! Great job on the cake;-D
Kids, love 'em but I tell you they sure can test your sanitiy at times ;-)
Wow! Great job!
Hi susan. how did you make the cake look elevated? or is it truly elevated?
I did elevate it with some cake under the center of the car, Which is on a board. Thanks for asking.
An incredible cake! You did a terrific job and yes, you have earned that margarita!! I just love how the cake is lifted enough for only the bottom of the tires to be touching the base cake! Great touch!
