Cup of coffee cake for my brother-in-law's 40th surprise birthday party! The cup measured 2.5" at the base and 3.5" at the top so I did cakes twice that size... 5" bottom tier, a 6" cake in the middle and the top was a 7" cake. It was almost 12" tall. All chocolate cakes, with chocolate buttercream and covered with rich dark chocolate ganache before being covered with sugarpaste. The lid was home-made Rice Krispie Treats, covered with melted white chocolate to help smooth and then covered with sugarpaste.
