Savory cupcake is one of my family's favorite desserts among other traditional Lunar New Year dishes (banh chung, pickled wild onion, candied fruits, watermelons...)

The recipe was handed down to me from my Aunt. The saltiness from the filling (Chinese sausages, shredded pork, dried shrimps, cilantro) balances the sweetness of the cupcakes and creates a taste to remember.
