Practice Fondant
After lurking here for months, I decided to brave rolled fondant! Three layer vanilla cake with buttercreme and rolled fondant. The bow is messy and obviously everything else is a little "off" but for my very first try, I'm very pleased.

Thank you SO much...all of you. I really, really studied my books and free videos on the web and have been studying all the photos on this site for so long that I felt I was ready to actually "dig in". I'd never even seen fondant out of the Wilton box before yesterday. I used gel food coloring for the colors and just put a drop on the fondant and pulled it like taffy because I'd seen that in one of my books. My hands were all sorts of colors!
