Happy Birthday to my daughter Randi! I followed the Sculpted Dog Cake instructions by Elisa Strauss. I had a few structural problems, so I decided to cover this cake in peanut butter flavored modeling chocolate. I used gum paste for the dog tag & D-ring. Ball is modeling chocolate. Dirt & grass are buttercream. I bought the chocolate rocks at Wegman's. I made a glaze for the eyes & "wet" nose with corn syrup & vodka.
