I used the incorrect ganache recipe under the fondant - it was way too soft and didn't harden, so the whole cake was smooshy and bulgy and rounded and pretty horrible really. Rather than stopping, and taking a step back, and thinking 'how can I fix this?' I just ploughed on, saying to myself 'it's got to harden. It's ganache!' Alas no, it never did. Lol! What a learning experience it was.
