Ruby Anniversary Celebration on Cake Central

Made this for a couple celebrating their 40th Anniversary with family and a few close friends. The bottom tier is 10", chocolate w/cherry filling. The top tier is 7", almond w/cherry filling. They will be putting some fresh flowers between the layers, wish I had them for this pic! This cake design was inspired by a cake in the 1982 Wilton yearbook.

I made this same design for my sister's wedding cake in the early 80's ... came straight out of that book! Looks really nice!
