Yellow minion: 3, 6 in. cakes + half ball cake. Purple minion: 4, 6 in. cakes + half ball cake. Buttercream with fondant accents (my kids don't like fondant). Made homemade cotton candy for the hair which was great (can't find pruple anywhere so made it). If you use be sure not to put it on until party time b/c the icing will cause it to soak up moisture and "melt" which is what I thought would happen. I also used bake strips to get even cake, but left cake super moist and mushy...evil minion started to sag, and the buttercream would not stick! UGH!
