Thank you all for the wonderful comments! I piped the outline with royal icing & then filled it in with pipng gel.

This is absolutely gorgeous!!! I love stained glass cakes, and this is the nicest one I've ever seen! How did you get the silver colored royal icing?

Thanks so much cakesbyjess. I piped the outline in grey royal icing & when it had dried I painted it with silver lustre mixed with clear alcohol.

My hubby really likes this one. He's a big fan of stained glass.....(should I be worried??) :D
