Top tier is covered in shorting and then I used a zig-zag stencil with gold luster dust. Middle tier has real gold flecks (I cut the shapes and allowed a day to dry). Bottom tier is hand painted with a mixture of gold luster dust and vodka (I did about 5 coats allowing it to dry between coats).
