Gift & Bow Cake
Well finally here it is.. the disaster that almost didn't make it. This is for my father in laws birthday today. First bow attempted following the tutorial on cc was a disaster. Also the colour came out Terracotta instead of dark brown. Fran saved the day and recommended I use chocolate fondant to get the right brown. Yeah fran. But even with additional info on bows it still didn't come out right, it is still very soft... needless to say not happy. I guess we learn from our mistakes.. better luck next time.
It still cam beautifully though! I love your color combination and your bow is beautiful. My bow was still soft too and that was due to all the rain we've been getting lately. Luckily the birthday gal and her office cut into it before it could sog some more
I LOVE you bow. I tried one and it was awful .I will have to keep working on it. Good job.
This cake looks great. Remember we're always our worst critics...Bows are hard, yours looks great
See Karen, everyone else thinks your bow is great, because it is :)
It still wonderful and I love it. Note: Add gumpaste next time to harden up the fondant.
I love this cake. The bow is awesome. Beautiful work! Great color combo. :)
