Argyle Baby Shower Cake

This was the request for a baby shower - pink & brown argyle pattern to match the baby's room...I used a cookie cutter to make the diamonds, and buttercream icing.

I like this idea! It would also be cute in more manly colors for father's day. :D

It would look cute with different colors! I had a problem with my white criss cross icing on top turning brown, any tips???

You could use fondant for your diamonds (chocolate fondant for the brown ones) and the white criss cross pattern should stay white. This is a GREAT cake! I LOVE the look!!! I bet this inspires a lot of cakes!!
