Happy Birthday To You!!!

Happy Birthday To You!!! on Cake Central

My first fondant bow!!! I think I came out pretty cute. It was also my first square cake so it was a new experience doing the straight edges. It is 6X6X5 Strawberry Swirl delight with strawberry cheese cake filling. Covered in BC and Fondant with Fondant trim and deco. It is for my husbands co-worker, for her birthday.

Your whole cake in itself is beautiful. Did you make MMF or is it Wiltons. If it is MMF - did you have any problems making it? MM recipe sounds delicious..is the recipe on this site? I would love to have it.

Wow!! Thank you guys so much for all of your nice comments, you all are so kind. To cowgirl58, It is just Wilton's white fondant, I colored it and put some strawberry oil flavoring in it. I just bought some Marshmelows today to try the MMF, this is only my second fully coverd cake, tried to keep simple.

oh this is perfect timing.. you have done a great job. Overnight I have had the biggest disaster making a gift cake with loopy bow... the cake I was doing was also 6 x 6... can you tell me what length you cut your strips for the loops... I also love the wrapped effect... ;-D

Thanks dky... I cut them to 6in and folded them in half, I think they could have been a little smaller though, they are 1/2 in wide and it took about 25 loops and a couple of curly ques to fill it in

Wow, great job! I like how you see the paper flaps on the sides of the cake, most people just make it smooth. Yours looks more real. Love the bow too.
