My daughter decided on stars as the theme for her birthday this year and I wanted to do something a bit different and thought I would try a cupcake croquembouche. I totally under-estimated the number of cupcakes I would need, hence the unfinished top to the cake, but the rainbow fondant stars turned out just like I hoped.
