Your ruffles are AWESOME!!!!! I will be uploading my two ruffle attempts soon  but my questions for you are 

a. Did you add any Tylose or other hardener so the ruffles would get stiffer faster and stay in place? Or was this just plain ol' fondant? 

b. Did you start from the top or the bottom 

c. Did you ruffle the edges with a ball tool or did you just pinch the part that was stuck to the cake? I'd love to see a tutorial of how you did yours!!!!! I like how they are big but not TOO big and straight out versus up or down!!!

Thank you"imarpet". I made this cake a few years ago, I believe I mixed gum paste to my fondant, probably a 50:50 ratio, but don't remember for sure.

I started at the top, I like to make a few marks around the cake with a toothpick to keep the layers straight.

I used the ball tool softly until I got the ruffles.
