What cookie recipe did you use? Were they soft to the bite, but firm to the touch?

I used the No Fail Sugar Cookie recipe and the icing is Antonia's royal icing. I got rave reviews on the cookies...they were very soft and the icing was hard enough to bag the cookies, but soft when you bit into it!
