Nice cake! Your roses look really pretty. I get that hump too a lot so I always do a border. I tried the upside down method but it didn't work for me.

Your cake is beautiful and your roses and sweet peas and leaves are beautiful. Don't feel bad about the circular ledge on top of cake, you add some type of border, such as stars and shells and it will cover up the problem. Keep up the good work.

I'm guessing you got the hump using the viva paper towel method??? If so....I just use my index finger and make sort of a hook out of it and run it along the edge of the cake one the top and sides are smooth and it will make a crisper edge and no hump then I just lightly resmooth the sides a little....oh I do all of this with the paper towel...not just my finger on the cake!
