My "Red Wedding" cake, for a friend's birthday (not for a real wedding!) Tiers are 8"/6"/4", chocolate cake with chocolate fudge frosting, fondant/gumpaste and buttercream details. Wolf's head was modeled out of fondant and painted with gel food colouring. The "blood" was a mixture of agave nectar (I didn't have any corn syrup), chocolate sauce, red food colouring, and piping gel.
