Happy Spring - My First Cake

Two-tiered (10" and 6") chocolate cake with buttercream icing. This is my first cake, so I had some trouble with getting my icing to go on smoothly and getting the right consistency for my roses. Icing the cake was surprisingly the hardest part!

This is a wonderful cake! Your writing looks great, your borders are even, your roses and leaves are very pretty and your cornelli lace is great too. Great job!

Thanks! The lettering was done with the Wilton letter press, then I just went over the indentions with icing.

the cake looks great ...for the smoothness look to the VIVA i swear by it!
