Onsie Cookies
Birth announcement cookies!! Made with NFSC and MMF with royal accents, writing done with edible ink markers ......I don't have the paper for the tags so I will include another photo later on of them fully packaged. Oh and if anyone can offer me ANY assistance in keeping my cookies from spreading I would REALLY appreciate it!!! I even made a larger cutter for the fondant and as you can see the cookies are still much larger than the MMF. I even used half butter and half crisco and it helped some...
Love them!
A shortbread cookie recipe without any leavening agents does not spread at all when baked.
I use a recipe that is basically NFSC without the baking powder...they don't spread at all. HTH
What NFSC recipe are you using? I love your writing!
I 1/2 the baking powder, and WOW your cookies are wonderful!
:) WONDERFUL! How did you get your writing on them? It's great!!!
wow - this is so cute! great job - love the handwriting! BIG BABY!!
thanks (yeah, HUGE baby).....the writing is just with a wilton edible ink marker.......got it at A.C. Moore
very sweet I too love your handwrting and yes big baby.
Pop your dough in the freezer (after it has been cut out) for about 20 min before baking, then put it straight in the oven
These are very cute!
no baking powder huh??? I'm gonna have to try that......this recipe called for 2 tsp. and I doubled the batch!!! so I put FOUR!!!! maybe THAT was the problem!!!
Great job and I love the packaging!
thanks so much you guys are too nice!
megamere......I do freeze it beforehand.....maybe only about ten minutes though, maybe I'll try a bit longer?
Great idea!! It looks fantastic!
I made the cookie cutter.......I just searched google images for "onesie" and printed it out and made the cutter from aluminum flashing. There is a tutorial on the homepage on how to make your own if you're interested.....it's a simple one to make...not many curves or anything
Great Job. Where did you get the cookie cutter? Great Handwriting...
I Love these. I think I might do something like this when my baby comes!
What a cute idea for birth announcements! NICE JOB!!
Very pretty cookies! I don't use any baking powder and my cookies don't change shape or get puffy, it is similar to NFSC.
Those are adorable and clever birth announcements! How did you get them to all the people?
my best friend gave them to the lady that had a baby as a gift.......so as people came to the hospital and to their house immediately following the birth of the baby they handed them out and then I think her DH handed out additional ones kinda like you'd hand out cigars back in the day?
So cute...is that RBC?
no, it
oops..........no, it's just marshmallow fondant!
Your writing is soooo neat :)
This is just adorable. I have seen it done before but I think this one is my favorite! And he was born on my birthday, so I'm a little partial!
Just found these. How cute! Great Job!
