The "adult" cake to accompany the jungle cupcakes for the kids....vanilla cake with chocolate ganache buttercream, covered in fondant.....all decorations sculpted from fondant.....thanks for looking!
well...about the shine....his right arm kept coming off...the poor little guy...I tried anchoring it with skewers, toothpicks, wire...it just didn't want to stay...so I resorted to a big blob of royal icing...which held great after a day of drying...but it was white so I took out my jar of buckeye-brown gel and painted it...I had to paint the whole monkey to keep it consistent....that's why it's shiny. All the pieces are fondant.
