This is a wedding cake I made for a young couple a few years ago. The groom was in the Navy and getting ready to ship out so they were anxious to get married. All they wanted was a simple cake w/navy trim so that's what I gave them. This is a white cake w/butter cream icing and trimmed w/navy blue ribbon. Seems simple but sometimes the simplest cakes can be the most difficult. Sure wished I'd known about the "viva paper towel" smoothing technique back then.
