Thanks. I wanted the colors to add a more comic book feel to it.

Did you have to treat the fondant in any way to get it to stand up so nicely??? I LOVE THIS CAKE! I may try to do something like it for my nephew's birthday! Thanks for the inspiration! :)

I LOVE YOUR CAKE!! Do you have a pattern for the buildings or did you free hand them?
hettrk6 10/21/07 at 3:50pm
I think I will steal some of your ideas for my super hero cake! Thanks!

Teasom, I cut the buildings out free hand. As long as you have a sharp knife it is pretty easy. I was rushed on time so most of my buildings are not as interesting as I would have liked. Hettrk6, steal away. I certainly used lots of ideas from others on CC. :)

I'm inspired! I have a Spidy cake for Sunday and I needed some ideas. Gorgeous cake! Nice work all around. A+++

Love this cake. I need to make a spiderman cake for my nephew and would love to use your idea. I was wondering where you obtained your spiderman cake topper?

Everything is perfect about this cake! I love the way you created the buildings and arranged them. Having the little cars down below was a super idea!
