Trying To Learn And Build My Portfolio
This was a playing around cake, gonna donate it to the Labor and Delivery ward nurses and doctors. colored Roses are starburst roses with luster dust white ones are fondant along with everything else..well that and royal icing. First time doing stringwork, fondant ribbon wrap, and royal icing design patterns. Really need to practice more. I need dummy cakes. My DH doesn't want to give the cake up. Awwwwww...so sweet
How did you make the starburst roses? Could you email me? [email protected]
I think you did a wonderful job on the design and your roses! I also like the colors!
carrielynn....very nice work. Your stringwork does NOT look like a beginner's work...and I especially love the piping on the lower tier.
wow I'm SOOO impressed wonderful job!!!!!! Also a side note I'm sure the doc and nurses will REALLY appreciate that so nice of you to give them a well deserved treat
beautiful from all angles
You really did do a great job. Very elegant, nice roses, etc...lucky docs!!!
Gorgeous cake, when I first saw it I thought what a beautiful wedding cake, you did a wonderful job on this:)
yup. you just cust a starburst into four pieces, microwave for about 5 seconds then shape each piece into a petal. Spiral the first one to make a rose center then over lap each petal. Repeat with another starburst until it is the desired rose. Good luck!
Do you mean the roses are made of starburst candies?
