I've been thinking lately about smallish wedding cakes done all in buttercream that could be put together inexpensively and quickly. (This one was more work than I intended, but next time I'll use a bigger tip.) I wanted it to be irregular, and it was a challenge to get away from stars all in a row. But, all in all, it turned out pretty much as I envisioned. The first of a few modest, all-buttercream wedding cakes, I think.
