This may be a simple cake, but I was SO nervous about using my damask stencil for the very first time! ;) Thankfully, it worked quite well! Vanilla buttermilk cake with vanilla buttercream filling, covered in fondant with fondant & hand painted stencil details. Instead of using royal icing for my stencil, I brushed black Americolor gel color over the stencil - worked like a charm! :)
