pink and white cake for local bridal gala

this was a simple small cake for a bridal gala held at a local department store. I wasn't too happy with it. I should have done white on white as the pink was too bright for my taste. Other people seemed to like it though. I had one bride say that she wanted that exact pink on her cake. Anyway, it was my first time and it was all local small businesses that were there.

I love that cake stand!!!!! The cake shows an alternative to plain white, too. I think it is displayed beautifully!!

Thank you so much! You guys are always so sweet. The stand is actually a plant stand that came from Belk--the store where the show was held. It comes in a set of 2!

I KNEW IT! I knew this was a plant stand!!! What an EXCELLENT idea!!! Boy are the idea's flying now! Into my fav's for sure!!! I love your scroll work too. Did you free hand that? Beautiful work!

no freehanding! I used a template from wilton. I have to give credit for the plant stand to sarahscakes. she has a very beautiful cake on a plant stand in the anniversary section. I looked for months and had given up when i found this stand. I didn't even care how much it cost!
