This is stunning! Did you make this lace mould or purchase it? Which one is it? I've been looking for one like this but haven't had luck finding one. It's beautiful!
Thanks everyone! kvand: The lace mold is by RVO- the top and bottom lace is called "Joy Blonde" and the middle strip of lace is also RVO called "Martha Blonde". I found mine on Global Sugar Art's website for about $19.99. Carrie789- The whole cake was covered in teal fondant. Then after it dried for a few days I masked out the stripes. I mixed a pearl luster dust with vodka and airbrushed the stripes in. While the pearl is still a bit tacky, I peeled off the tape. I finished it all with a clear coat of airbrush to seal the stripes. (It's important to make sure the fondant is dry and a bit hard. Otherwise, the tape will stick and when you go to peel it off, it takes your fondant off in clumps!)
