Mmf Christmas Trees

Mmf Christmas Trees on Cake Central

Found original idea on this site & in Wilton mag. The cake looks okay from this pic but, trust me, up close it was not so good. I made a huge mistake by piping the lines on the trees prior to sticking them together. Every single tree I had to chip off the royal icing in order to get the tree to go together correctly. Plus, my trees were flat, obviously my cake was not...I lack forethought....I should have dried the trees on something with a slight arch. Oh well, live and learn.

I LOVE the color combination! Is the top layer top green or is that just how the photo turned out? You are too hard on yourself too. It's a beautiful cake!
