Cake Club! Good butercream execution, I suggest getting your top border just a bit more off the edge. Putting the border where you did you can see where the fondant ends and it actually makes the cake appear smaller then it actually is. Great cut-outs, but I can see the cuts are slightly jaggy. If you used an exacto, try dipping the blade in shortening and you'll get a cleaner cut, and if you use cutters run your finger around the cutter while the fondant is still in it to get off the jaggys and make clean cuts. Excellent dot placement! Very cute cake.

I would do a round tip border, but it's very cute! And ditto about the borders of the cutouts. Great job!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I didn't even notice the rolled buttercream sticking out until you all pointed it out, now it sticks out like a sore thumb. Thanks for the tips on the cutouts too. I love this concept, you all have helped me tremendously. I thought about a dot border, and the thought of not being able to get them all the same size freaked me out so I took the easy way out. I think I should practice the dot border and move out of my comfort zone and practice piping new border styles. Thanks for starting the cake club.
