Buttercream frosted 3-layer french vanilla 7" cake with fondant accents. Rose ball is piped buttercream rose technique on a styrofoam ball. Gold accents are fondant as is pearl necklace. Made for my SIL who (like me) is obsessed with Downton Abbey and loves all things vintage.

Vintage Downton Abbey Inspired birthday cake

Really nice, congratulations. One question, Did you cover the cake only with buttercream? or fondant over the buttercream?

I only use buttercream on all my cakes. The decor is fondant.
