How was this executed? Did you just wrap fondant coils around the cake?

Go to the Royal Bakey Facebook Page - she is amazing. Or Shereen's Cakes and Bakes. They offer up some tutorials. I did not use the "Wilton gel" for the syrup though (ick). I boiled maple syrup until it was almost at hardball stage. It is slightly sticky but not runny like syrup.
The blueberries fooled everyone...fondant

WOW! This really makes me hungry for pancakes! Can't believe how realistic everything is!
